Aquanatal Instructors are qualified health professionals specially trained in pregnancy and postnatal exercise. They have all completed Aquanatal Instructor Training with Aquanatal Australia, and have current health practitioner registration with AHPRA. They are highly experienced and knowledgeable on the needs of pregnancy and the specifics of pregnancy exercise.

Donna

Donna has been a midwife for over 25 years and has run Aquanatal® classes for over 15 years in the UK and Australia. She is passionate about encouraging women to exercise safely for an active, healthy pregnancy.

Ira May

Ira May is a registered nurse-midwife. She has been running Aquanatal® classes in Canberra since 2018 and has previously taught aquanatal in Russia where she set up the ‘Raduga’ active birth centre in Saint Petersburg. Ira May is passionate about helping and empowering mums to experience gentle birth.

Amy

Dr Amy has a passion for all things pregnancy and water! She is a chiropractor with a special interest in pregnancy and family care. Amy has her own chiropractic clinic in Hurstville. Since experiencing Aquanatal® during her own pregnancy, she knows first-hand about the benefits of water-based exercise and the importance of keeping active during pregnancy!

Shani

Shani is a registered nurse with experience in a busy neonatal intensive care unit. She is currently completing her midwifery training and plans to work as an independent midwife. Shani completed her Aquanatal® training in 2023.

Sue

Sue is a midwife based in Newcastle, NSW. She has been running Aquanatal® classes since 2017. Her classes are currently on hold due to COVID, but she plans to offer classes again in the future.
